More than 660 Alpha Gamma Delta sisters gathered this year for the Fraternity's
forty-fifth International Convention to share knowledge, meet new sisters and celebrate
sisterhood. Held June 19th to the 22nd at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter in
San Antonio, Texas, Convention 2008 provided us with encounters and experiences
that won't soon be forgotten. Kyley Cope, President, is shown carrying the flag
of our chapter during the flag parade of the opening night ceremony.

Our chapter took 6th place in the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation's "On The Move" program!
For the program, members were asked to donate $19.04 individually to the Foundation.
The amount of $19.04 is significant because 1904 was the year Alpha Gamma Delta
was founded. All chapters were encouraged to participate, and together we raised
a great deal of money for our philanthropy.
Alpha Gam's Hit Me Baby One More Time took the championship in
UTD's annual Oozeball tournament after a riveting two match final. The Students
beat the Faculty in game five to win the match. Alpha Gamma is also the winner of
our costume contest.
Thanks to the Student Ambassadors for hosting such a fun activity!
Epsilon Psi chapter's annual event, Mr. UTD, was a big hit this year. We raised
over $1,400! We split the proceeds between our local philanthropy, Scottish Rite
Hospital in Dallas, and our national philanthropy, the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation.
This year's winner was Jarrod Payne from Zeta Beta Tau. Congratulations and thank
you to all of our participants and sponsors!
Alpha Gamma Delta participated in this year's Greek Week, teaming up with Alpha
Phi Alpha, Delta Epsilon Psi, and Sigma Alpha Epsilon to take first place in the
competition. Activities included a faculty luncheon, a Canned Food Sculpture contest
to collect cans for a food drive, the annual Greek Sing, and the Trading Spaces
Step Show. Thanks to Greek Life for putting on such a wonderful week full of activities!
Alpha Gamma Delta was also awarded:
- Outstanding Chapter Attendence
- Outstanding Community Service
- Distinguished Greek Woman - Courtney Willis
- Order of Omega's Miss Greek - Elizabeth Barta
- Another member accepted into Order of Omega - Kirstie Maylor
